Our wine region
Most people have no clue where Slovenia is and what the country has to offer. The rapidly developing country of Slovenia lies wedged between Italy, Austria, Hungary, Croatia and the Adriatic Sea, which makes for a very diverse landscape. Western Slovenia borders on Italy and has a typically Mediterranean climate, while Eastern Slovenia is hilly. This area is called the Tuscany of the east for good reason.
Jeruzalem Ormož with its hills and terraces lies in the northeast of Slovenia. The sunny, and often steep, terraces make it virtually impossible to work with machines. For this reason, Ela Hill grapes are all hand-picked. And that is good thing too, because the hand-picked grapes contribute to the quality of Ela Hill.
